Town Planner
Fantastic opportunity to join our award winning team in the heart of northern NSW.
Newton Denny Chapelle (NDC) is a long established and respected Town Planning, Engineering, & Surveying consultancy headquartered in Lismore and Casuarina (Tweed Coast).
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Town Planner to join our Casuarina team. Should you prefer to work in Lismore, this opportunity is also available. The ideal candidate would ideally have experience working in NSW, preferably on the north coast, and will be excited to work on a wide range of interesting projects.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage planning projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies.
- Provide high-quality accurate advice to clients on planning and development matters.
- Prepare and review Statement of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements,
- Planning Proposals, Modification Reports, Clause 4.6 Variations, Planning due diligence reports.
- Management of specialist consultants and their outputs.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in town planning.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in town planning.
- Experience working in New South Wales, preferably on the north coast.
- Experience in briefing and managing external consultants.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to hit the ground running.
